Blake Lively Trolls Ryan Reynolds as He Watches His Football Team Play

Blake Lively is again trolling Ryan Reynolds as he attends a football game with his team Wrexham AFC, a Welsh football club. The game, which was on January 29, appeared to take a toll on Reynolds, who co-owns the team. He was seen looking worried on camera throughout the game. Fortunately for the actor, the March against Sheffield United ended in a tie.

Lively shares a video of her husband watching the game on her Instagram Story. She states how satisfying it is watching him being anxious and that her decision to purchase ESPN+ to see his reaction was worth it.

Lively adds that life makes no sense as the team can play well against Sheffield United despite the latter being three leagues above it. The actress later showed her contribution towards her husband’s team by pointing to an ad for Betty Buzz. Betty Buzz is a mixer that Lively named after her three-year-old daughter.

Lively was not happy when her husband first bought the team

Although Lively has supported her husband’s decision to buy a football team, this wasn’t always the case. In August 2022, Reynolds revealed that he had slid into Rob McElhenney’s DMs and discussed buying a football team without consulting his wife. Reynolds approached his wife with the news, and she didn’t take it very well.

The couple seems to have worked through the slight strain caused by his decision, as Lively has shown support for her husband’s project. On the other hand, Reynolds stated that McElhenney is the best business partner he has ever had.

Welcome to Wrexham was a successful documentary

Reynolds and McElhenney have taken their role as football club owners very seriously. The pair had a documentary in August called Welcome to Wrexham. As the documentary continues, it seems like an experiment to the two actors as they try to find chances for their team to play against better ones. The documentary has received many positive reviews from people who feel it focuses on not only the celebrities but also the players whose lives have been changed since they bought the team.

Reynolds shows interest in buying another sports team

Football fans admit that the decision to buy Wrexham could benefit the team as it provides them with the financial support and publicity needed to succeed as a club. When asked about his reason for purchasing the team, Reynolds said it reminded him of Philadelphia. The actor now states that he is open to buying another sports team. He would prefer one closer to home, like from the NHL franchise. However, he admits that he would require financial help to become a reality.

Lively and Reynolds are always trolling each other on social media

Blake and Reynolds have a long history of trolling each other online. The couple, who have been married since 2012, has entertained their fans with these trolls. For instance, in April 2015, Lively posted a picture of Reynolds with Helen Miren asking if she should be concerned that her husband never looks at her the same way. In 2017, she posted a photo of Reynolds but instead talked about John Legend, who was in the background.

Reynolds has also taken plenty of jabs at his wife. For instance, in 2016, a fan asked how his wife felt about all the inappropriate questions fans asked about his role as Deadpool. He hilariously revealed that he suspected Lively asked most of those questions. Another example was when Reynolds wished his wife a happy birthday but severely cropped her in the picture.

The couple has three children and is now expecting their fourth.
